At Glen Harry Game Reserve you set your own pace. From the amenities in the chalets, guests can start their day with a quiet beverage on their own terrace as the sun comes up. Alternatively, we will greet you with tea and coffee at a time of your choice so you can set out on an early morning drive and witness the wildlife emerging from slumber.
The land offers much discovery and vehicles and bicycles await to offer you a choice of transport, however many opt for a relaxing stroll in whichever direction one chooses, which can take you down to the river or perhaps over to the historic homestead where Andreas Pretorius once lived.
Our beautiful salt-water pool is the ideal place to lie back, take in the sun, and listen to the silence, broken only by the sounds of birds and nature. What can be more relaxing than watching a couple of giraffes pass gently by or seeing a herd of antelope move up the hill as they graze.
At the end of the day, Karoo sunsets are best enjoyed in beautiful viewing spot. With the interesting hilly landscape, the reserve has no shortage of these. We will take you where you please for a pre-dinner G&T, and hopefully a few wildlife spottings along the way.
